Kangaroo Island is the third largest
Island off mainland South Australia
and is located 120 kilometers south
west of Adelaide, and just 16
kilometers off the tip of the Fleurieu
Peninsula. It is 155 km long (95 miles)
and 55 km wide (35 miles)
Kangaroo Island has much that Australia has to offer. The wildlife is unique, the scenery spectacular, pristine white sandy beaches that you can have all to yourself and all just 30 minutes by plane from Adelaide.
The Island can also be accessed by a 45-minute vehicle and passenger ferry that departs daily from Cape Jervis, a 90-minute drive south of Adelaide. |
